Starting a new game and deciding the sex of your baby -  When first starting You Play He Lives , it automatically loads in the tutorial mode.  This means that the sex of your child is random and this almost always means a boy.  After doing some research, I found out how to choose the sex of the baby and went for it.

To start a new game

• touch the back icon and when asked do you want to quit say Yes
• select 'new game' at the bottom and then 'restore purchases' if you are a gold member
• you will be asked if you you are sure.  
• when the intro starts you can skip it with the arrow at the bottom right
• here you choose the eye, skin, and hair color for your baby
• below that you will the option to start with tutorial with a random sex or you can start without the tutorial and choose the sex of your baby.
• below that you will have a space to choose a boy or a girl and name your child
• You are now ready to play

Things to Consider:

You will lose all items purchased and gifts for your baby.  If you are a Gold Member you will begin with the amount of gold coins that you have purchased.  I have the 2.99 Gold Membership and my new game started with 3000 gold pieces.

You will lose all parent points you have accumulated.

You may miss your baby if you do not have another device to dedicate to it.  (Yes you can have a baby on each device you have)

However the most important thing to consider is the fact that this game runs 15 months from start to finish.  I like taking care of one baby across multiple devices and really wanted a girl.  Girls have more clothes, shoes and accessories and of course lots of pink!
